Prayer for Christian unity goes right to the heart of Jesus who prayed “may they be one” (John 17:11 & 21-22). God, who is a perfect loving relational community, calls us into such a depth of union with him that we cannot possibly stay divided from one another as we enter deeper into union with Him.
