Maundy Thursday Service of Reflection

'The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread and when he had given thanks, he broke it....' These very familiar words form part of our celebration of Holy Communion, the sacrament which Jesus instituted at the Last Supper with his disciples.

For Maundy Thursday there will be a pre-recorded service of reflection on Jesus' Last Supper, during which we will be thinking about our Lord washing of the feet of his disiples and his hearteflt prayers in the garden of Gethsemane. This service will be available on the Tidenham Parish Online Church from 7.30pm and can be accessed here.

To participate fully you will need to come prepared with a bowl of hot soapy water and a towel, a mobile phone or similar device from which you can send a message, a cup or glass and a grape!.....all will be come clear!

All the words for the prayers and songs will be on the screen but if you prefer to have a hard copy in front of you, you can download the document here.

You are also invited to 'keep watch' after the service, having a silent time of prayer and reflection yourself. There are some prayers and suggested readings which you may find useful to resource that prayer time which you can download here.
