I’ve been very impressed with some of the good news stories on the ITV news. It seems to me they have been making a big effort to give viewers upbeat positive news stories alongside the more sad and troubling ones.

Last week I had goose bumps hearing what former Scotland and Man Utd footballer Lou Macari has been up to.
