Keep Lent with us in 2019

Lent is one of the very earliest elements of Christian worship. It began as a period of time when people preparing for baptism would spend a significant time studying the Scriptures, learning about prayer, and thinking deeply about their relationship with God. This would lead up to their baptism in the early hours of Easter Day.

Since those early times the church has recognised that all Christians benefit from regularly coming back to those first principles of faith: the Bible, prayer, and how faith in Jesus Christ might make a difference to the way in which we live our lives.
